About matt

Matt began his career writing darkly comedic plays and interactive shows during his college years in Santa Barbara. During this time, he also tapped into his lifelong love of Halloween, when he created and executive produced the city’s first public haunted attraction at the age of 22.

Upon moving back to Los Angeles, he wrote and directed his first short film, A Ritual, Complete, which premiered at HollyShorts in 2016. It was also during this time that he combined his passion for haunted attractions with his burgeoning interests in nightlife, cocktails, and immersive world-building, and created Drunken Devil. This colorful nightlife series fused character-driven experiences with all the revelry of an underground warehouse party, developing a cult following which lead to an expansion of the IP beyond live entertainment. Most recently, he co-wrote, directed, and executive produced The Cosmic Game, an audio drama extension of the Drunken Devil universe which has garnered thousands of listens and was featured in outlets like Nerdist and Fangoria. 

Hot off the success of The Cosmic Game, Matt continues to focus on developing projects in the audio, episodic, and live entertainment spaces, with an emphasis on queer storytelling across horror, fantasy, and sci-fi genres.
